The House investigative committee has published a set of approximately 70 images obtained from the property of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third disclosure from a cache of in excess of 95,000 images the panel has obtained from Epstein's property. It features photographs of passages from the literary work Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured pictures of women's international passports.

This action comes mere hours before the December 19th deadline for the Justice Department to make public each records connected to its probe into Epstein.

"These photographs raise additional queries about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its custody," said the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photographs Disclosed

Several of the photographs released on Thursday feature Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky on a private jet; Bill Gates standing alongside a woman whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation across from Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest wealthy, prominent individuals to be pictured in Epstein estate photographs released by the oversight panel - earlier released photos also include US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the photographs is not evidence of any wrongdoing, and a number of the pictured figures have said they were not participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a announcement released with the photograph release, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer context or timeframes for the photographs.

"Images were chosen to offer the general populace with clarity into a illustrative selection of the photographs obtained from the holdings, and to give perspectives into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally troubling activities," the statement says.

The release also includes a number of photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in ink across various areas of a woman's body, including her upper body, lower extremity, pelvis, and back. Lolita tells the tale of a minor who was groomed by a middle-aged literature professor.

One quote from the work scrawled across a woman's chest states, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of images of women's passports and ID papers from nations worldwide, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the details on the papers, including names and DOBs, is obscured but the committee stated in a press release that the passports belong to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

An additional photograph features Epstein positioned at a desk in close proximity flanked by three female figures whose features have been redacted - one has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his garment, and another individual is bending to examine a adjacent device. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the third put on a wristband.

A further photograph made public is a capture of digital messages from an unnamed individual who says they have been provided "a number of girls" and are requesting "$1000 for each individual".

Image Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Deadline

The body has thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its announcement on recently explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and records the Epstein estate provided to the committee are separate from what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". That material are records in the justice department's control related to its separate probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its records. The scope of the contents found in the DOJ's files is unclear, and it's likely that a significant portion of the content will be heavily censored, comparable to Congressional materials
